About Us
CHEF FOR HIRE was founded in 1989 by award-winning Chef and restaurant industry veteran and Monty G Degenhardt. Monty spent the previous years traversing the country working for one of the largest restaurant companies at the time opening dozens of cutting edge restaurants and innovative hotel foodservice operations. Settling in Indianapolis, Monty started a special event catering company earning a reputation for excellent food and service.
In the early nineties, he determined there was a demand for better-catered meals to childcare centers. Soon he was providing FSSA compliant food services to dozens of facilities. By 1996 Monty was working with many of Indiana’s Area Agency’s on Aging. The AAA’s fed thousands daily but with costly and antiquated systems. Home Delivered Meals were created to meet this challenging and critical foodservice niche.
Executive Vice President, Chef Jeff Scheck is a graduate of Johnson and Wales University with a degree in culinary arts. Jeff has had extensive experience in Hotels, Restaurants, and Catering. He has been with Chef for Hire for 25 years and is committed to delivering high quality, nutritious, compliant meals to our customers. |
Vice President of Administraion, Deandra Miller Fajardo is a graduate from Ivy Tech Community College. Deandra brings 13 years of leadership, buisness management, logistics, and customer service experience from various states across the country. Deandra has been with Chef for Hire for over 2 years and is committed to providing dependable customer service to the communties of Indiana. |
Vice President of Operations, George Haist has extensive experience in quick-serve and casual dining foodservice operations. He is experienced in the logistics of delivery in Indianapolis and surrounding areas. George has been with Chef for Hire for 17 years. |
