What are some of the things, as a caregiver, that you have to be concerned with or think about when you're caring for your elderly loved ones?

Detra Glasco:
My granny was really transitioning. She used to try to fight me. I'd say, “I love you, Granny,” and she’d say, “I love you too.” I think I was her favorite, because she always wanted me to get her food.

This has been a good experience, because they really need help. Some can't do much for themselves, and I'm probably the only person they see—other than their caregivers or family.

I'm often the first person they see in the morning. Interaction is so important for all of us.

That human interaction is so important for all of us. Yeah, it's amazing that you get to provide that touch point.

Can I give you a hug?
Yes, and sometimes I need that hug for myself.
