Living the Mission Through Chef Meal Prep

Detra Glasco: Sometimes I’m feeling a little down, but when I see our clients, I light up. Bringing them their food—it makes their day and mine. It’s more than a job. I’ve been driving for Chef for Hire for about three years, and I’ve built real connections. Some feel like family.

Interviewer: That’s beautiful. It sounds like you’ve found real purpose on the road.

Detra Glasco: Yes. And when someone passes away, it’s hard. I’ve known them for years sometimes. The bond is real. Our chef meal prep deliveries are about connection just as much as nutrition.

Delivering Care Across Indiana

Interviewer: Do you have a regular route or does it vary?

Detra Glasco: I get around a lot! Every other Thursday is Terre Haute and Connersville. One Friday might be Lafayette and Frankfort, the next Greenwood. Wherever I go, I always let clients know if I won’t be the one coming—just so they’re not caught off guard.
